Bald Eagle features 6 miles of hiking trails near Greensboro, NC.<br />
Bald Eagle Trail skirts the shores of Lake Higgins, providing beautiful scenery for hiking and mountain biking. This moderate hike offers opportunities to view unique waterfowl and possibly a bald eagle, the trail's namesake. It is considered a semi-technical mountain bike ride by the trail sponsor, Greensboro Fat Tire Society, with its rooty sections and hairpin turns. The 1.3-mile loop on the western side of Lewiston Road is an added bonus.

Directions

"From Greensboro, take 220 N (Battleground Ave.) towards Lake Higgins. Turn left onto Hamburg Mill Rd. Take the second left and park in the gravel beside the fence.
